Delete Account

How MacroForge account deletion works and what the current in-app flow removes.

Last Updated: August 14, 2026

MacroForge includes an in-app account deletion flow. This page explains what that flow removes and what data may still remain on your device or with third-party billing providers.

1. Local Device Data

MacroForge stores macros and related app data locally on your device for regular use.

  • If you want local app data removed: Use the in-app delete flow for account-linked records, then clear the app's local storage or uninstall the app to remove remaining on-device data.

2. Account-Linked Data

If you create a MacroForge account, the app may store:

  • Your email address
  • Your user ID and username
  • Device/session records
  • Entitlement or subscription status
  • Cloud-backed macro records
  • Received macro records
  • Blocked-user records
  • Shared macros sent to or from your account
  • Community macros published by your account

3. In-App Deletion

MacroForge currently provides account deletion from the Account screen inside the app.

That flow deletes:

  • Your MacroForge account
  • Your primary account profile
  • Your device/session records, macros, received macros, and blocked-user records
  • Shared macro records where your account was the sender or recipient
  • Community macros owned by your account

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

4. Timing and Data Retention

Account-linked records listed above are deleted immediately when you confirm deletion in the app.

  • Residual copies: Copies of deleted records may persist in encrypted infrastructure backups and service logs for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten in the normal backup rotation.
  • Crash and diagnostic data: Crash reports and diagnostic logs are retained under standard diagnostic retention schedules and are not linked to your account once it is deleted.
  • Legal retention: Records we are required to keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons — such as purchase records held by Google Play — are retained for the period required by law, independent of account deletion.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

Deleting your MacroForge account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Subscription cancellation and billing management must be handled through Google Play.

6. Manual Requests

If you can no longer access the app and need help with account deletion, contact:

Manual requests should be sent from the email address associated with the account whenever possible.
