MacroForge Guidelines

Rules for in-app sharing, Share Center use, reporting, blocking, and general community behavior inside MacroForge.

Effective Date: July 21, 2026

1. Purpose

These guidelines are the rules for using MacroForge community and sharing features inside the app. They exist to keep sharing safe, reduce abuse, and make it clear what is and is not allowed.

2. Macro sharing rules

When you share a macro, the macro name, description, thumbnail, and permissions must accurately reflect what you are sending.

You must not:

  • share misleading macros
  • share intentionally harmful or broken macros
  • hide the real purpose of a macro
  • give permissions carelessly
  • spam the same macro to other users

3. Share Center rules

Share Center is for sending, receiving, and storing macros in the cloud. It is not for harassment, deception, or abuse.

You must not use Share Center to:

  • impersonate another user
  • send abusive or unwanted content
  • repeatedly spam macros
  • distribute deceptive or unsafe macros
  • bypass sharing restrictions or permissions

MacroForge may restrict or remove access to Share Center if these rules are violated.

4. User behavior rules

You must treat other users respectfully.

You must not:

  • harass, threaten, or target other users
  • abuse community features
  • try to trick users into running something different from what was described
  • use MacroForge features to disrupt other users

The mailbox is for announcements and update notes only. It is not a chat feature.

5. Account and device rules

You are responsible for activity on your account.

You must not:

  • bypass account or device limits
  • share access in ways that violate plan rules
  • misuse trial, subscription, or cloud features
  • attempt to work around app restrictions

If you no longer use a device, remove it from your account when appropriate.

6. Templates and shared content

Only upload or share content you are allowed to use.

You must not:

  • upload stolen or unauthorized template content
  • package shared macros in a misleading way
  • distribute content that violates another user's rights

7. Reporting and blocking

If a user breaks the rules, use the in-app report option. If you do not want a user to send macros to you, block them in Share Center.

False reports, abusive reports, or attempts to weaponize reporting are also not allowed.

8. Enforcement

If you break these guidelines, MacroForge may take action. This can include:

  • removing shared content
  • restricting sharing features
  • blocking access to Share Center
  • limiting account access
  • taking further moderation action when necessary

Suspicious activity may also result in your account being restricted from sharing or fully disabled.

9. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action against your account or your shared content was a mistake, you can appeal it.

Email support@macroforge.net from the address on the affected account and include:

  • the account email or username
  • what was removed or restricted, and roughly when
  • why you believe the action was incorrect

We aim to respond to appeals within 14 days. While an appeal is open the original action stays in place. If we find the action was wrong, we restore the affected content or access where we still can — removed shared content cannot always be recovered.

10. Final rule

If a macro, share, account action, or user behavior is deceptive, abusive, unsafe, or clearly against the intended use of the app, it is not allowed.
